Native to the tablelands, from
Northern NSW into Victoria, it is very
long-lived and very slow growing. It
can withstand snow and ice, and
prospers in well-drained soil and
colder areas. It can be used for
windbreaks, shade, fence posts, fuel
and honey. The cream flowers are
produced in profusion. Attractive
scribbles on the white bark are
produced by a small insect.
