An attractive small to medium
sized tree that occurs naturally in
New Guinea, the Solomon Islands
and also widely distributed in
Northern Australia. It commonly
grows in moist rainforests close
to streams. Its pink flowers,
borne in dense clusters, are
very pretty and will attract birds
and insects to your garden.
They are particularly attractive
to butterflies. Reasonably fastgrowing,
it needs a well-drained
soil and responds favourably to
fertiliser and watering during
dry periods.
